So I said yesterday that I wanted to get back into the swing of things. I did a little something today. First finished sketch in a long time.Joker/Monarch.
More to come. I have an idea for a full on finished illustration with the same theme. Hope it works out.

Wow. So its been over 3 years since Ive said anything worth while on here. 3 years way too long. I made a new years resolution to do a new drawing at least once a week and of course, it failed after the first 2 weeks. The thing that used to help me vent my frustration has now become the source of it. I sit with a pencil and pad and just draw a blank. The ideas and motivation dont come as much as they used to and when they do, it's while Im at work or something where I cant just do it.

I really want to get back into it. Im going to make this page active again. I need to to preserve my sanity and bring back the fire.

I will do it. Just you wait and see.

So I'm getting back into it. yeah I know, I said that before and look how long it was since my last entry BUT I think this times its gonna stick. I actually went out and bought a new travel pencil set so that way I have my stuff all nice and neat ( I'm one of those artist who thrives in  a world of organized chaos. It my look messy but I know where everything is (until my wife moves it)

So lets see where this latest streak of inspiration takes me.

So as you all can tell by my lack of comments and updates I have no time for anything. I got a promotion here at work and its monopolizing alot of my creative energy. By the time I get home the last thing I want to do when I get home is sit infront of the comp again.

Ive lost alot of the desire and drive I had to draw. It used to unwind me and now it seems to be the problem. I get upset because Im not in the mood and I cant force it upon myself.

Luckily, I just purchased the Mythology book with Alex Ross' artwork and it is inspiring me. My primary medium of choice is watercolor, he uses guache and makes photorealistic paintings. I want to try out guache, Ive never used it. Hopefully this tiny spark brought out by Alex Ross will start the towering inferno I once was back again.

So yesterday I had some time during the day where I got to do some scribbles on a post it. The scribbles became more and more detailed as the day progressed. alot of start and stop because I am at work and I have things I need to do.

Its coming out pretty good and when it is done Im going to submit it under Post It art 3.

Im starting a revolution. A new trend. Make wave for the post it artists!
